Absolutely. BrainChange Neurofeedback is an excellent integrative tool that works alongside talk therapy, lifestyle changes, and existing medication. Many of our clients find that as their brain becomes more efficient at self-regulating, they are able to work with their prescribing physician to adjust or reduce their reliance on medications over time.
Neurofeedback is a cumulative process. While some people notice a shift in their sleep or mood within the first few sessions, lasting, permanent change typically occurs over a series of 20 to 40 sessions. Just like physical exercise, consistency is what allows the brain to solidify these new, healthy pathways.
During a BrainChange session, you’ll sit in a comfortable chair while sensors gently monitor your brainwaves. You don’t have to "do" anything except relax and watch a movie or listen to music.
